Meet 'The Wolf'

Rodrigo Bandeira Wolf is the founder of Wolf Jewelry & Watches and a master craftsman whose legacy in jewelry spans generations.

Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Rodrigo grew up surrounded by artistry, technique, and tradition. His family has been in the jewelry trade since the 1950s. Under the influence of his uncles, Dino Ribeiro and Eduardo Wolf, and many other skilled relatives, Rodrigo developed a passion for fine craftsmanship early in life.

At just 14 years old, he began a two-year full-time apprenticeship under Wanderley de Castro, one of Brazil’s most respected diamond setters. There, Rodrigo learned the precision and patience required to create world-class jewelry, often working on custom pieces for elite names such as H. Stern. He soon earned the title of professional diamond setter specialist, a rare achievement at such a young age.

In 2003, Rodrigo moved to the United States to join his uncles and later his brother Renan Wolf, forming a renowned team of jewelers known for their intricate and imaginative creations. His journey continued at Ashland Investments, where he led the jewelry department and, under the mentorship of the late Mr. Richard Gilbert, discovered his deep passion for restoring antique gold pocket watches. Mr. Gilbert’s mentorship left a profound impact on Rodrigo both personally and professionally.

By 2013, Rodrigo launched R. Wolf Fine Jewelry, offering bespoke designs and expert timepiece restorations. His work quickly gained recognition for blending heritage craftsmanship with creative innovation.

Now, after more than two decades in the industry, Rodrigo has embarked on a bold new chapter, fusing his private atelier into a new flagship venture: Wolf Jewelry & Watches. This collaboration brings his expertise in fine jewelry and horology into a refined, customer-facing storefront, designed to offer luxury service, exclusive creations, and watch and jewelry-backed financial solutions.

This next phase represents Rodrigo’s commitment to honoring tradition while shaping the future of luxury retail.

Rodrigo extends his heartfelt gratitude to those who shaped his journey: Wanderley de Castro, Dino Ribeiro, Richard Gilbert and the Gilbert family, Richard Sherwood, Jeremy Thayer, Bruce Crissy, and Carol Crissy.
